Hey, what's up, guys. I'm back with another blog. And this time we will see whether you should go for a 2016 flagship iPhone 7 or any other mid-ranger phone from other brands at this price point in 2021. iPhone 7 can now be bought for as low as 270 $ or 18,000 rupees or even for twelve thousand rupees in the used phone market. And it's still a decent phone for its price and is a perfect phone for those who want to buy an iPhone at a really affordable price. I have compared it to many latest mid-ranger and in this price point and iPhone 7 is clearly a winner in almost every cases 

And the newest one is I compare my iPhone 7 to Galaxy M 31 which is available at nearly the same price point as a used iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 won in the gaming test. . iPhone 7 is running IOS 14.2 which is the latest IOS version and most probably it will be upgraded to IOS 15 as well. So that's good news for existing and future owners of the iPhone 7. And since it's running on IOS 14 you can see the widgets and app library(new features of ios 14). And IOS 14 has brought some really great features like picture and picture mode for YouTube and dropdown notification instead of full fullscreen notifications and a whole lot of new features.

I have used iPhone 7 as a primary device for two years in the past and I started using it again this year as a secondary device and one thing I like about this one is that it can handle ant task easily. There is no lag or slow down although this one phone received four major updates from IOS 10 to IOS 14. The only downside of this phone is that I'm getting seven to eight hours of battery on this four-year-old device, with full-day Wi-Fi and Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, and some YouTube usage as it has a just 1960 mAh battery which is quite low compared to today's standards.

The phone still looks premium with front glass and an aluminum frame and an aluminum back panel. Other models have mat finish and it's also IP 67 certified water and dust resistant. at the bottom are the mic and speaker grill and lightning port. on the left is the mute unmute button and volume buttons. you get the lock button and the SIM card slot on the right side. At the back is a single 12-megapixel camera with quad-LED dual-tone flash. At the front is a 7-megapixel camera and earpiece which also acts as a speaker and this phone has stereo speakers. The phone is really comfortable to use due to its compact size and many people still prefer the old school design with touch ID. Talking about performance it is still a powerpack performer and can handle high-end games without any issue. iPhone 7 is powered by an Apple A10 Fusion chip with a quad-core processor and POWERVR series7xt plus six-core graphic GPU. iPhone 7 is available in 3 storage variants i.e 32GB, 128GB & 256GB

Apple A10 fusion chipset provides a powerful processor for gaming. You can play high-end games on this phone without any issue. There are no lag or frame drops for the games that are not high graphics. The same goes with free fire, it works on ultra graphics with everything set to full settings. The graphics look stunning. The game runs smoothly. There is no startling or graphic loading issue of objects that are far away. This can be a perfect device for gamers with a tight budget but want a good gaming device. But the only downside is that while playing the high-end games it gave just 4 hours of battery back up. And if you are concerned about Pubg then it'll be also a good option (if u neglect the smaller screen size) as it gives you an HDR setting with high FPS. as well as none of the mid-ranger under 20000 can run  HDR mode with high FPS. And being a metal phone it heats up slightly but that doesn't affect its performance and that's not a big issue as it's a common story with every glass on the metal phone.

And for all those social media addicts, social media apps like Snapchat and Instagram works flawlessly. the Snapchat filters load quickly. There isn't any lag or anything. The same goes for Instagram. Instagram works without any issue. There is no frame drop or lag like scrolling through pages or while zooming into images. Now talking about the camera. This one has a 12-megapixel f/1.8 aperture camera with face detection and autofocus and also an optical image stabilizer. There are some basic features in the stock camera like time-lapse, live photo, HDR mode, Panorama, and 240 fps slow-motion video. You can shoot for 4k videos up to 30fps. at the front is a 7-megapixel f/2.2 aperture selfie camera with face detection and autofocus. Which can shoot up to 1080p resolution videos. You also get live photos, live filters, and time-lapse in front camera as well. iPhone 7 was the camera king of its time and still captures some decent photos.

And in camera samples, the colors look natural. There are a lot of details and the daytime pictures on this 4-year-old device always look great. it also provides good low light photos. and also work well in no light condition than many of today's mid-range phones. But one thing that's missing is night mode, which could have helped to take even better shots

Salafis are just decent on this one. front camera performs well in outdoor as well as low light conditions. For security, it comes with touch ID, which is extremely fast and secure. Watching videos on iPhones has always been great. Thanks to the retina displays and it's true with iPhone7. iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch Retina IPS LCD display with 750x1334 resolution and 326 ppi density. The resolution is low by today's standards but since it's a small display the video looks crisp, the display is bright, colors are saturated, and have a decent contrast ratio. The viewing angle is also decent.

so at the end in my opinion whether you should buy an iPhone 7 in 2021?. then Yes it's in a powerful smartphone that you can use for high-level gaming. it can easily do your daily task and has a decent camera. but the only downside is the battery backup. for people with moderate phone usage, the phone will last for a full day but for heavy consumers, it is required to charge your phone twice a day. It's a perfect phone for those who want an iPhone but at an affordable price.
