Google applications including YouTube, Gmail, and Docs suffer a rare outage, with users unable to access services.

 google services like youtube are facing server error 503 i.e the server is not ready to handle the request. Common causes are a server that is down for maintenance or that is overloaded. This response should be used for temporary conditions and the Retry-After HTTP header should, if possible, contain the estimated time for the recovery of the service.

also, some other services like blogger are also facing error 500 i.e the server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request. This error response is a generic "catch-all" response. Usually, this indicates the server cannot find a better 5xx error code to respond. Sometimes, server administrators log error responses like the 500 status code with more details about the request to prevent the error from happening again in the future.

it appears google is having some major issues with its search engine Gmail youtube and a host of its other associated services currently down according to down detector services affected include youtube, google meet, google hangouts, google play, and Gmail. it's not clear whether this is a worldwide issue but it appears that it is affecting at least Europe(currently in India also) can't load youtube videos youtube appears to be facing a serious outage at the moment as its website and official youtube apps are not working.

when you try to load the youtube website you'll see a picture of a monkey holding a hammer with the message something went wrong meanwhile the youtube app will not load any new video feed and eventually it will display the message there was a problem with the server 503, several users have already complained about the issue on social media at the time of writing down detector has received over 30 000 complaints for youtube in the past few minutes the issue seems to be happening worldwide multiple google services and websites including youtube, Gmail, google assistant and google docs have been hit with a widespread outage.

down detector indicates that the outage which appears to be affecting google's business and personal services started at around 6:40 a.m eastern time in the case of Gmail as of this writing, Google is yet to officially acknowledge the issue and the status page for its services is reporting that none are experiencing issues however, reports are mounting on Twitter as users can't access its basic services with Gmail in the hashtag number youtube down starting to trend 

The outage started shortly before noon UK time, with Google sites returning server errors when visited. Users around the world reported problems with Gmail, Google Drive, the Android Play Store, Maps, and more. Many individuals and businesses rely on Google services for basic work apps such as email and calendars. Despite the widespread outage, Google's service dashboard for its services reported no errors

"Today, at 3.47AM PT Google experienced an authentication system outage for approximately 45 minutes due to an internal storage quota issue. Services requiring users to log inexperienced high error rates during this period. The authentication system issue was resolved at 4:32AM PT. All services are now restored. We apologize to everyone affected, and we will conduct a thorough follow up review to ensure this problem cannot recur in the future."
